The problem is mostly routing issues.
check the gateway at the other end to see if they
have a route point back to your client's network.

as far as I know, there's no rule for it.
All you need to do is to add a static route on the firewall
gateway to redirect 10.1.x.x.

it's not quite straight forward.
You will need to setup a wins server which an entry pointing to your server in the optional.
Setup your server in the trusted to use the wins.
Next allow smb, dce-rpc, across fom trusted to optional.
You may need to turn off nat.
