    XP system Hardware change - renders system UNUSABLE !!!

    Well for the good news, it is possible to move XP Hard Drives from one computer to another. I have done this numerous times, quite safely. You say that you didn't get to the F8 stage while booting. Did XP actually begin to boot? Did the new BIOS recognize the HD? Regards, SecHead
