I tried what bcastner said but i couldn't find anything my microphone in Regional and Language Options.. then i followed the whole tekst soaplover found and i noticed that when i enabled microphone in the volume control it was muted but this was not the problem cause it still wont work..

I've already tried this but it wont work. The Line in was on mute and i de-muted it but still nothing could it be that the mic needs a special driver?

Hi, I got a Compaq presario 7954 running win XP. The problem is when i had win 98 i could always use the microphone thats inside my monitor but now it doesn't work anymore and i have no idea how to fix this.. Any suggestions? thanx, Jelmer
