    You have to restart rpc ( /etc/init.d/rpc stop && start ) .

    prtdiag |grep -i mem will give you the memory the system has.

    if you are using solaris 8 then you need to do plumb and then add the ipaddress .ifconfig hme0:12 plumb and then give the address or you can use ifconfig hme0 addif <Ip> . as mentioned keep it in RC script.

    if u are in a lan , edit /etc/defaultrouter and give ur routers IP address.Edit /etc/resolve.conf and give ur DNS address.Edit /etc/nsswitch.conf and at hosts : files DNS .In ur Netscape preferences give ur proxy server address.
