Hello Mr. J. I am not sure whether I CAN get to safe mode, have tried to get just to the start button to bring up menu and have not been able to, so the possibility of getting into safe mode seems rather remote at this point. Am going to try to re-install Norton this weekend and if not...- jasperct

Thank you for the reply. I am using Windows ME and 2002 norton 98/me edition virus package. My sweep worked using the stated klez removal that you so graciously supplied me and I re-installed the norton package, but am still having problems.
