Getting asked for a parameter in report...
is your custom function in a module? and is it public? does it run normally (i.e. not in the report)? are both date_recvd and busdaysleft fields in the report query ro table? I would start with those first. jon- jwinters

performance of SQL statement vs query
I use the DoCmd.RunSQL... I just read somewhere (I think on this board), about a debate on which was faster... I think the DoCmd.RunSQL was deemed the faster of the 2. Jon- jwinters
