Thanks. If this is all that the OPERATOR password does, then I am OK with leaving it as the default. I'm still not sure how to change it away from the default, but it doesn't appear to be a high-security issue.

Yet another password question ... what is the Operator password good for?
We have an Operator mailbox that belongs to a real person who has voice mail defined (meaning that if you ring that extension internally, you get that person's voicemail).
Because they are the Operator, their extension...

We just had a change in personnel, and we want to reset our Norstar passwords for security reasons. I have reset the sys coordinator and operator passwords, using the straightforward procedure found elsewhere in this Forum.
My question is, how do I set them to something other than the default...
I have checked the Forum and the FAQs and can't find this answer. What I am trying to do is to change the behavior of CCR so when a user presses 0 or stays on the line, they get the operator's voice mail if the operator isn't there.
This would be instead of what seems to be the default...
