Hello all,
I am currently a VBA/Access programmer, and I use tek-tips when i am stuck at a specific problem. But i have found that it got to be addicting to look at other forums when i was trying to find a solution to that problem. I have been a programmmer for 1yr at this company. LOL, the...
Excellent Tips guys! You can all add a star to your calendar. I'm really happy you gave me feedback on this topic, hehe.. I don't feel as guilty now :) "Anyone who has never made a mistake has never tried anything new".

I am kind of new to tek-tips, and I feel like I am intruding on company time. Yes, this site is extremely helpful. I am ALL for getting my work done! Tek-Tips has been kind of addicting when it comes down to getting a answer. Is it right for me to be replying to posts at company time? Do you...
This is going to sound like my post from before, but a little different. I have been continuing to work on MS Access database applications, and now things are changing at this company. I was told that I am going to be moving into a new office and I am NOT going to be working on Database stuff...
Thanks for your reply cosmo, I came up with a different solution :) I exported my report in a snapshot format. The report had to be on a page size of 24 x 36. :) "Anyone who has never made a mistake has never tried anything new".

Hello all,
Is there any way to customize the page size to more than the 22.75 limitation? I need alot more room in my report. "Anyone who has never made a mistake has never tried anything new".

Thanks cosmokramer,
Thats exactly what i was looking for. Such a simple solution. You can add this star to your calendar :) "Anyone who has never made a mistake has never tried anything new".

HmmM. I have been looking into this, and i cannot find a solution.
You can disable the buttons in code for a form, but not a report. HmmM, thats bizarre.
Sorry rollingmoose! "Anyone who has never made a mistake has never tried anything new".

Hello all,
I am trying to come up with a solution to display the week-ending date on one of my reports, and the end of the week is on a Friday. Does anyone know a simple solution to this? Thanks! "Anyone who has never made a mistake has never tried anything new".

Hello rollingmoose,
For a simple solution: go to the properties of the report, click on the format tab, and you will see "Min Max Buttons".
There you can select NONE to disable the buttons. HTH "Anyone who has never made a mistake has never tried anything new".

AnnyH,
Hello AnnyH. I am no expert, but you just might have to "Compact and Repair the database". If you know about this, I am sorry, but im just trying to help :) Go to tools; Go to Database Utilities; and then click on "Compact and Repair Database". You should...
Hello all,
I have a form that the user enters data in to generate a fax report. I want a command button on the form that previews the current record only. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!
Raptor136,
Congrats with your military career! I was in the Navy for 4 yrs, took advantage of the GI Bill, and graduated with a CIS degree. I think you should look into using the GI Bill and going to school full or part time (depending on your schedule) and get into either a CIS or CS degree...
Thanks for replying DonQuichote.
My supervisor was definitely reffering to me drafting instead of programming. Yes, AutoCAD can be programmed in VBA, but I wouldn't know where to start since the drafting that they do at this company is complex. I bought a AutoCAD VBA book over the weekend to...
Melissa,
This isn't advice, but i hope any others can feel what i am talking about. I am kinda in the same shoes as melissa but worse (I think). I graduated college 1yr ago with a A.A.S in CIS and was fortunate to find the job i have now. I was hired for technical support, and for the past...
Yes.. I should of elaborated just a little more.. Not meaning empty, as in null. I mean have the text "Empty" in combo box2 when combo box1 is a certain value that the user chooses.
