    Greetings You're correct the /dev/bpf0,1,2, and 3 files controll access. the permissions on them are cr--r--r-- and ownership is root:system. The user belongs to system and bin groups. Seems to me they should be able to run the command successfully. Thanks for your reply Mike Schotten

    When trying to run tcpdump as any user other than root on an AIX4.3.1.0 system I get the following message; tcpdump: error loading /usr/lib/drivers/bpf. I have tried changing permissions on both files but the results reamin the same. Other than allowing a user root access (not in my lifetime)...
