It depends on what OS you're using first of all. For example... if you're using 98, I don't think you can go past 512MB.... in fact even using 512MB on that OS could actually harm your performance depending on what type of RAM you're using.

I should also note this is IE6 w/SP1

Now all of the sudden it wants to cooperate and it did work. We removed a file found in his startup folder and it resolved the issue. We did that earlier and it didn't do anything. Maybe it has a mind of its own. Thanks for the tip.
