I'm sure someone will have an easy answer to this question. We have twelve Win2k Pro workstations and one NT server at one location. Whenever a user signs on to a workstation, if she has never logged in there before, they get the Internet Connection Wizard when they try to use the internet...
In Microsoft Exchange, how can you turn-on "autofill"? Let me be more specific, if I sent emails all the time to jkouzamak, how can I set it so that after I start typing the first few letters of the name in the To: field, it automatically fills it in. I know that if you stop typing...
This past Friday I installed Backup Exec 9.0 on one of our Nt 4.0 file servers. It didn't run correctly so I tried to install the veritas service pack. The install barely got started then just sort of hung there, forever. No problem, I'll just uninstall Backup Exec. Nope, just hangs there if...
We run Exchange 5.5 where I work. The only way that I know to save a users contacts and personal folders is to backup the *.PST files from the local machine. It seems like their must be a better way. Am I missing something?
Shouldn't be any problem. We run an NT4.0 network with mostly 98 clients. Just make sure you specify the correct I.P. settings when youre setting it up. Is there a specific problem you're having getting a 98 station to join?
Sam,
There are no pol files in the netlogon directory. That would just be too easy :P I will give the second suggestion about loading poledit locally a try.
We have an NT PDC server on out network. We have a few 2000 Servers, none of which are PDC's or BDC's. None of the 2000 Servers are logged into by users, they are purefully for apps that must run on 2k. We have just started using 2000 Professional on out workstation. Whenever a 2k Pro...
All of our users are setup to run a logon script (logon.bat) from their local file share server. Everything has been working fine until the power went out for an hour today at one branch. The server and workstations came back up ok, except for one workstation. Instead of running the logon...
Whats the easiest way to share a calendar in Microsoft Exchange. The calendarwould need to be accessed by three specific people and nobody else. The Exchange Server is 5.5 and the workstations are Win98. Thanks!
When any computer (including servers) in our domain starts up, a "warning message" appears that says "you cant login if youre not an authorized user, etc". You must then click ok to make it disappear. You arent given anywhere to put user name and password until you tell the...
I need to know how to print the NT User list in NT. I've used the 'net users' and piped it to a text file, but it only gives the first initial, last name. I'd like to get a list with the full name. Any ideas?
