Hi,
I fixed this last night - after running backup job in debug mode and getting no errors, no errors in event log, ran TCPView, nothing using 10000, reinstalling the remote agent.... i removed the remote agent from Exchange, downloaded BE v10.1 (10d) and installed it on the media server, pushed...
How do i check that? Have looked in the registry and program files - nothing obvious.....?
I uninstalled the 9.1 agent on the exchange server, prior to reinstalling BE on the media server, and then pushing out the remote agent.
The Backup Exec service account is a domain admin.
Thanks.
I've just checked the backup logs - it's backing up the exchange mailboxes and information store (from the jobs saved from the previous version of BE) - but they're just not showing up in the GUI for new selection.... don't get it?
Hi,
I've just upgraded Backup Exec v9.1 to v10 - but now i can't see any Exchange agent options?!
I uninstalled the remote agent from the remote Exchange server. I upgraded BE on the local media server, entering the license keys for BE, the SQL agent and the Exchange Agent. Applied SP1 and the...

I installed Windows Server 2003 SP1 on our ISA 2004 VPN Server today... now no one can VPN in.
When a user tries to VPN in they get the error:
Verifying username and password...
Error 691: Access was denied because the username and/or password was invalid on the domain.
I'm getting these...

One of my user's has set up his my site and used http://www.bbc.co.uk as his page viewer URL. Unfortunately, as soon as he pressed ok to confirm, the bbc site took over the browser and we can't get rid of it! When he clicks on My Site, it comes up for literally a second before the bbc site...
Hi,
we are currently constructing our Sharepoint Portal Server 2003 - what i need to find out is about creating an area template.
We have a top level area called 'clients' and under here, we have got many sub-areas pertaining to each client, which will essentially have the same structure in...
I've just set up Sharepoint in our infrastructure and have 10 pilot users using it.
I've had a problem with one of the users - he created his My Site and added a custom web part (MSD2D RSS Feeder) - the moment that was added the site appears to have 'broken' - he can't add or remove any web...
Hi,
I'm not sure if i should be posting this in this area or the Exchange area..... we've recently migrated XP/Office 2003 users to a new Exchange 2003 server. We have a number of Excel documents stored in public folders that the secretaries open and edit on a daily basis, HOWEVER, when they...

Hi,
we currently have one 192.168.0.x internal domain, called 'domain1.domain.com'. Exchange 2K is installed on one of two domain controllers (EX01.domain1.domain.com) for this domain. Email addresses are 'name@domain.com'.
In order to tidy up domain names from times past, we have created a...
That's helpful thanks and you're right - there doesn't seem to be much emphasis or info available on planning the structure.
I just found a good planning doc http://www.microsoft.com/technet/prodtechnol/sppt/reskit/c0861881x.mspx probably the most useful i've found yet.
Appears to suggest that...
Hi,
I'm currently planning the layout of our sharepoint 2003 implementation, but i'm having a bit of trouble getting my head round sharepoint portal vs. sharepoint sites.
We have approx. 40-50 users currently, and have a need for a central intranet 'portal', from where i've planned to have all...
Hi,
We're currently planning our new infrastructure, which will be a single Exchange 2003 server behind a single ISA 2004 server acting as a proxy/firewall.
We have less than 50 users (consultants) in the company.
Our consultants are generally away on client site, so we want them to be able...
I have a quickie question re: exchange....
if one user sends out an email with a 2MB attachment to 25 other users in the same company/exchange store - is that attachment saved once inside exchange, or is it multiplied 25 times - so taking up 50MB of space???
Is there a way of logging it to include times/dates? I'm trying to prove that the connection we have is dodgy, so i need to have that information in there too i guess....
