Hi All, I wonder if you can help. I am trying to install mysql 3.23.49 on AIX 4.3. I get the following error when I run scripts/mysql_install_db I have installed zlib 1.1.4.0 and set $LIBPATH to /usr/local/lib I get the error shown below. Anyone know which version lib zlib will work with AIX... -

I have the same problem. i don't have a libpath env var and "find / -name "lib.*" -print" finds nothing What am I missing? TIA M -

I added TESTVAR="test-var" It seems to be working now, but only after a reboot. I thought the .dtprofile should be read if logout from CDE and login again, but it seems not Thanks mark -

I also tried adding it to /etc/dt/config/Xconfig: "Dtlogin*environment: TESTVAR=test" it still doesn't work. According to: http://techsupport.services.ibm.com/server/aix.techTips?refNo=97319422016416#6 It should! Any ideas Thanks M. -
