Follow-up post
A few weeks back, I cleared hundreds of emails with attachments out of my inbox just to ensure no issues. All worked fine until now.
This morning (after the first post), I deleted many "sent" messages which had perhaps 100mb of file attachments. Suddenly, Outlook is synching...
Totally perplexed on this one. I cannot get my Outlook 2003 to sync with Gmail properly and having wierd behavior with BB sync to Gmail too.
- use Outlook 2003 on both a laptop and desktop
- use Google for Domains as email account
- sync using IMAP
- have large files stored in email (over 2gb)...
interesting - I could not get NAV 2003 to even find the lop.com problem. Had to use several spyware programs to find the files and each found different ones. Every time I ran another, that new program caught more .lop files.
Any idea why NAV never caught any of these despite their contention...
I have a similar problem with Norton Anti-Virus 2003 which I am trying to uninstall. Despite uninstalling it, then reinstalling and trying to uninstall a second time, there are several remnants of it left over in the registry. I receive a message telling me these remnants cannot be removed...
thanks
I already tried this and came up empty. This is a truly strange situation and I can't help thinking my partition has been compromised or is somehow faulty.
I determined that I wanted to copy over all files and simply reformat the HD and reinstall all software. When copying over the...
followup next problem
I am having lots of problems with my laptop - HD space evaporating daily even with no usage. For example, I increased the partition size of my system partition to 9 GB from 5 GB and within a week have only got 400MB of space left unused.
I have tried several different...
I also thought this could be a virus - only problem is that this pc has NAV 2003 on it, autodetect is set and the system has a scheduled scan on it weekly. This problem has been getting worse since mid-May and therefore the system has been live updated at least 10 times since then and also...
I have been having strange problems with my laptop for a while - the available HD space keeps shrinking. I have increased my C partition from 5 GB to 9 GB and within a week, I have less than 1 GB free space - this weekend, it shrank from 880 MB to 630 MB while the pc was idle.
There are no...
see my other post re loss of free space - these two issues may be related.
Using Win2K NTSF, 20 GB drive, Drive C = 5 GB, Drive D = 15 GB
In attempting to shift space from my D drive to the C drive, I have attempted to use Partition Magic 6.0. I am running into two problems:
1) on booting...
my pc has a 20gb HD and it is partitioned into two drives - Drive C is 5 GB and Drive D is 15 GB. I use Win2K NTSF on both drives.
Drive C is mainly for software and booting and Drive D is for data files.
For some reason I do not understand, the Drive C continues to lose space on a regular...
