have you considered opening the page in a new window, and then closing the old window with javascript? i don't knoe\w any myself but it can be done, i know that much.

Have you considered using a javascript to point the browser to a different page depending on the browser? just copie the original page and insert the stylesheet at the top of the new page.(once you have finished it of course)
