sorry should have been more specific. yep, telnet is fine, snmp fine, connectivity is all ok. dns is correct, banging my head against a wall here. Only the 2950's are giving me these problems, I have no issues with 3550's 4500's and 6500's that we are managing.

if your logon server is unavailable during the logon process your users will be authenticated using cached creditials on the workstation, this will mean that you logon script will not be executed but your users will be logged in the same.
