Using the Avaya Element Manager or other resource, is there a way to see how many minutes are used for calls inside our location and outside our location?

I am trying to run some backups using a cron job, the backups are running but when I try to redirect the output listing to a file the file is created but there is no data in it. What do I have set wrong?
Here are the entries I have set up in crontab to run my backup
0 15 * * *...
When I create or extract using tar -cvf (-xvf) /dev/tape it is takeing 6 hours to read 30 GB of data. I am using a Quantum DLT7000 tape drive. Any sugestions on how to speed up the process ( I'm thinking it should take about 1/3 of that time. Thanks in advance for your help.
