BCM50 Rel3
I have an incoming line which is set to be picked up by VM after 4 rings.
This line also has a second number with a distractive ring pattern on incoming calls (short-long-short)
Is there any way to make a revision to the programming which redirects the calls to an alternate DN...
Thanks.
I added it and it took it, but it didn't make a change to the set. Still selects DN 0 when the handset is picked up and any other DN is ringing.
Probably a simpel CLS entry, but for the life of me, can't find it.
Call comes in on a DN which is not Key 0.
Handset is picked up, and selects Key 0 automatically. Key for ringing DN must be pressed to answer call.
Is there a setting so that the ringing DN (or longest ringing) DN is...
in addition to this, if I change the DN on the trunk to 7000 (Access DN for Meridian Mail) it answers the call and says "your session cannot be continued at this time. please try again later. goodbye"
I have set up a voice menu, and when I dial the DN internally, it works perfectly fine.
I'm confused as to the set up of an external analog trunk to reach the menu.
I've tried making the COT trunk auto-terminate on the DN, and I've tried setting up the NITE for the trunk to go to the DN, but...
and I'm going to assume that there are limitations to the size/type of SCSI drive that I can use as a back up?
I could only hope that if I got a larger drive, that I'd have increased storage space, however, I suspect that's only wishful thinking.
thanks
Shawn
i was thinking I would make a copy of the SCSI Drive and keep that on hand -
obviously wouldn't be something done on a daily basis - but was thinking that if the drive died, I would be able to swap in my copy and update whatever I needed to -
Thoughts?
I disabled the AML, powered down Mermail overnight, brought it back up around noon and all is working well.
LOL - no tape drive - just put the Mermail in actually, so there's nothing to back up :) - still implementing and on the hunt for a tape drive -
are you saying that I can do a back-up...
I've logged into Meridian Mail after booting up and everything loads.
I get to the System Status and Maintenance screen and there is no <Activate System> softkey option/
The System Status says "Loading" and has been like that for hours.
Something I'm missing?
But of an update -
copied files to another CF drive - card reads that drive - i just have no idea how to install the software
I hit CTRL + I at teh appropriate time and it seems to loop
*** To invoke install setup program from PCMCIA enter CONTROL-I ***
Executing power up self tests
Power...
ugh.
wish I had done that before I formatted the card -
I just tried formatting the card using the PDT - copied the files back on still won't load the software
Insert Software Delivery Card and enter CONTROL-I.
CONTROL-I entered. DRAMOS loading from SW Delivery Card.
DRAMOS load from SW...
So, next step.
I tried to reinstall the software and it donesn't seem to recognize the card.
I plug the card into my laptop and all the files are there but thought perhaps it wasnt formatted correctly.
Following the instructions in faq798-6238, I formatted in DOS accordingly, but it still...
Nope - no luck.
I took the dongle out and got an error message that it wasn't installed when I booted up.
When reinserted, does the same as before.
Crap!
nope.
LOL
but you know, i see the keycodes in the SLT, and functionally, every thing i try to program works fine from a software perspective, so I'm not really understanding why re-entering the keycodes would change anything
the inventory say I have enough licences for what I'm doing -...
thanks - will dive into it a little later -
question though - does the password change (ADMIN2) completed in LD17 save immediately or does it need to be in my midnight routine?
if in the routine, what overlay is it?
everytime I reboot this, I need to reset the password in PDT. (even though...
