    An easy way to "fake out" this requirement for a data value is to create a default value of "unknown" or some such literal in the table definition for the key-part field that you will need. HTH, Neal & Marilyn

    Do you know how to link tables from one Access database to another? To link to SQL you have to have an ODBC connection defined, and you link the same way except using that connection.
