Hmmm......
There are no directive to skip, no file (nrs.dir) and no central directive on the backup server.....is this a new feature? Maybe we now need to by a license for the Module for Microsoft Applications?? in order to use save set "All", never tested the module, but i...

Hi and thank you for the response.
I am very sorry, but i do not understansd your response, it might be my of trying to explain the actual problem. I think that we can disregard the DFS mount point, as this area only is used as a target for the replication service, the area is not advertised...
At a customer site i have implemented Networker 7.4.3 and every thing worked OK until DFS-R was implemented on a Windows 2008 client. The customer set up one of the drives as a replicating target for Home and project data. The backup of the drive in question is OK, but missing the files in the...

This might be the answer to your question......
NR= No rewind on close
S= Device does byte-swap
V= Device supports variable block sizes
C= Compression
This make some sense, but the term "Device does...
I have tested this on several different backup server, some og them are in full production. I always get the same result when testing the scanning of the Unix tapes. Regarding the device names, i think that this is kind of standard "Device files" as the Unix admins call it. I have no idea what...

Yes this is very strange. I do not have access to the system from home, so i cannot give you the accurate output of the scanner command, But when I start the command, one of the first actions is to read the label, and that failes. The response is "No Tape Label...
Some background.
Have an old UNIX (IRIX 6.5) server with Legato Networker 7.1.1, Tapelibrary is a StorageTek L700 with IBM LTO1 Tape drives. This system is now due for termination, and i would like to install a new windows server (Windows 2003) with a small library. the library i have available...
Thanks Speculos, Yes the clients backed up are no problem finding in the index. i think the solution will be to ask the servers by reg-query and see if they have Networker installed, and then pick up the last backup date by mminfo. a other solution may be to run mminfo towards all the...

legato networker clients: 500+ ?
legato networker backup servers: 8
I have a complete list of all servers in my inviroment, but i am not sure the "backup people" have been informed as all the "new" servers have been installed (with or without any...
