As long as I run Access 2000 there is no problem with the output, I only have a problem if I want to run it under 2002. This wouldn't work either if the permissions were a problem.

I have a program that works fine under Access 2000, my client has purchased some new computers with Access XP on them and the OutPutTo command doesn't work under the new version.
The line of code looks as follows:
DoCmd.OutputTo acOutputReport, stDocName, acFormatRTF, sPath & sStudent &...
I have a client that brilliantly put a database password on an Access 2000 database and doesn't know what it was. Does anyone know if there is any way to get past the password ?
Thanks.
Lloyd.
Your code appears to print the report twice. I need both copies to printed together. It looks to me like the code will produce one run with one footer and the next run with the other footer.
Thanks.
Lloyd.
I have a report that sometimes needs to have each page printed twice with a different footer on each page, the two pages need to print together. I haven't been able to find any way to do this.
I'm using Access 2000.
Thanks.

I'm running an Access 2000 app. In a query I'm using a sum function on a number defined as single. The sum function is not returning the correct total for the numbers, it's adding in decimal places that don't exist in the orginal numbers. The numbers have a max of 4 decimal places and the number...
Finding the record is no problem. The pdf is embeded not linked so a path doesn't exist. There is a text field to search on.
In my code I've used a snapshot recordset and have the record and field I want to launch from. It's just launching from the embeded object that is giving me trouble.
Lloyd.
Option three woun't work as the pdf object is embeded in a table.
I'm using Access 2000 and Acrobat 5.0.
The path to Acrobat is d:\Program Files\Adobe\Acrobat 5.0\Acrobat\Acrobat.exe

Thanks for the reply.
I don't think it really answers my problem though.
The pdf is embeded in a table. I want to be able to find the record I want in a recordset and launch using the ole field in the table.

I have a table with a field that is an ole type. It stores a pdf. I'm trying to launch the pdf using VBA and haven't been able to find a way to do it.

Thanks. I used their services. It was quick, fixed well and not expensive.
I have a feeling my client is giving a little more priority to a good backup protocall now :-).

I have a corrupt database that is an Access 2000 backend database. I've tried importing the ojects to a new database but it doesn't recognize it as a database. The repair starts but hangs half way through.
Any ideas ?

Out of desperation I purchased Partition Magic 7.0. It read the drive as being ok but I still couldn't access it. I converted the drive back to FAT32 and now the drive is functioning properly.
I still don't know what the problem was and if anyone does I would love to hear.
Thanks for the...
When I run chkdsk from a command prompt it indicates that it is an NTFS partion and sees all the data. Chkdsk seems to be the only thing that can see the drive.
I am curious as to whether or not it is possible that the system files for managing NTFS are loaded, just a thought but I don't know...
I'm not totaly clear on what you are looking for but it seems to me that I would let the autonumber assign automatically and store the owners number on the cabinet record. To the best of my knowlege there is no way to manipulate an autonumber, it would circumvent the purpose.
Autonumbers are...
I'm running XP Pro and decided to change my D: drive (partiion) to NTFS. The conversion appeared to go fine but when I click on the D: drive it asks me if I want to format the drive.
Under properties it lists the file system as RAW. I tried running the conversion again and it says the drive is...
