MX 2004 Slow Performance?

I have been using Fireworks MX 2004 for a while now, and I love it, except after a few hours the thing bogs down and runs so slow there is literally a five second delay on everything I do. I shut the program down and restart, and it runs great for a few more hours. I installed the 7.01 update...

    Where's the Free Space?

JWARD: That's interesting. I'm not running McAfee, but I am running Norton, which was mentioned in that same link. But nothing really conclusive either way. PMONETT: I'm running system restore. I checked the folder where all the files were stored (System Volume Info) and the space it was using...

    Where's the Free Space?

Well I ran defrag overnight, and now I have 9.33 GB of free space. I always thought defrag wouldn't give you more reported space, just consilidate what you have. Am I wrong here?

    Where's the Free Space?

I have my swap set manually to D: at 1024MB min/max (I have 1 GB of ram so I chose this for no paricular reason) I think some buggy prog may have used up all my memory one time and forced windows to "increase the size of your pagefile" there was definitely no pagefile on C: (i got...

    Where's the Free Space?

Earlier today, after having my computer on for a few days, I began running out of space on my C: drive. I'm running XP, and C: is partitioned to about 15GB. I was in the middle of downloading something, so I starting moving some files to another drive, erased all the temp stuff I could find...

    2 H.Drives,1 Partition?

If you have Windows XP, I think you can do this using the Disk Manager in Administrative tools. If you go start -> run, then "compmgmt.msc /s" then click Disk Management. Someone else would have to give you the details on this, but maybe this points you in the right direction...

Everyone: Thanks for the replies. Tek-Tips was down for a while, so I couldn't respond. I did find a free script (Matt's Form Mail) that did the trick. Thanks for taking the time to help me though.

(I copied this from another thread) Hello - I am doing a pro-bono project for a Christian organization. They want a weekly newsletter that users can subscribe to. Cause it's free, I really don't have the resources available -- and time is critical right now -- to learn how to do this right. I...

Windows Explorer crashes when viewing certain folders

As far as I'm concerned, since I turned off TIFF association with Adobe Photoshop, the problem has not resurfaced since (it's been about 3 months now I guess). But it seems like there is more than one issue on this thread, and different people are experiencing similar problems for different...

    Maintaining Original JPEG Size

Thanks for the tip. I didn't think it mattered exactly what size my image was. I had more than one and they are all different. Image pan is the stuff though.

    Maintaining Original JPEG Size

Seems like this question shoulda come up before, but I couldn't find it anywhere -- so sorry if this is a repeat... I'm doing a slideshow-like thing in Premiere. I purposely made my images larger than the stage cause I want to scroll them up/down/right/left during the duration of the image...

    OH, sorry Bill, was wondering why half of it was in italics To make sure I am trying the right thing: for (i = 1; i <= currentType.length; i++) // (sic) { this["piece" + i].onRollOver = function() { getDescription([i])...
