After using Office 2000 for a few years I updated to Office 2003. Now I am unable to open any .oft files in Outlook 2003. Whether I double-click the .oft file or use File/Open I get the same result: a new message form with the .oft file as an attachment. If I try to open the attachment I get...
In Outlook 2000 (Corporate Workgroup) I tried adding a new set of Personal Folders for a user (who already has dozens of .pst files in his profile), but the Personal Folders service is no longer listed as a selection of services that can be added to the profile. Since this is a highly customized...
Several months ago we started migrating to Office 2003 from Office 2000. On the PCs running Office 2003 I have noticed that no icon is diplayed in Windows Explorer for Outlook .msg files. It seems to make no difference whether Office 2003 was installed as an upgrade or as clean install with no...

Have you tried creating the profile (at least giving it a name) first on the new machine and then copying the files over to the profile? This is how I've done it and it seems to work just fine.
To add to what INBred said about using Ghost, I used DriveImage Pro to do this very thing just today. I slaved in a spare hard drive, used Drive Image to create an image of the C drive on the slave, re-partitioned the primary hard drive, and then used DriveImage to restore to image to the now...
Kathy,
