    All I can come up with is flashing lights on the hub/switch when the cable is linked to the netcard(probly dose this whenever the connection is unavailable) Cat5e cable has been tested with multimeter over and over with full success. The Cat6 works perfect at arround 3gig transfer per 8 mins...
