After upgrading from W2k to W2k3, my DNS will not resolve www.yahoo.com. Every other site that I can think of works fine. I have cleared the cache and even added a forwarder and still no luck. The old CACHE.DNS file does not appear to be used any longer, thus I cannot go down and clear the...
I have had E2K running for about a year now without any problems. I installed an Eval version of GFI Mail Essentials to filter spam and it was working fine as well.
I then purchased the paid version and reinstalled it. Now only admin level accounts can access OWA. Users with less access...
It looks like i do have this setup. What happened was Symantec overcleaned and took out some good mail. I do have my retention set at 30 days but have never tried to restore from that method. I have always gone back to Veritas and restored the mail.
I am trying to search now and find out how...
I am trying to figure out how to restore accidentally deleted messages using BE 8.6 and E2k. The restore works fine. However, no matter which option I choose, it duplicates the messages that are already there.
Choosing replace if newer, replace period or overwrite all gives the same end...
Is it possible to restore share folder to another server?
I have a server with about 100 user shares and would like to migrate them to another server. I have restored often back to the same server but never across servers.
Normal redirected restores do not appear to work? I am using 8.6 NT/W2k
I am running an experiment with a server which has 1000MB of disk space. I set BE 8.6 to use this disk space as a backup folder. When I point to the tape library and utilize tapes I can backup my 450gig just fine. If I point the same backup to the disk file it will fail around 57-62gig...
i have deleted the instance of EventConfig_servername and when i restart the service it stops after about 10 seconds with the 8004005 error again. the key is still gone from system manager. maybe my problem now is that it is not rebuilding the new key?
I have veritas installed on a domain controller to backup our network. I recently rebuilt this server from scratch installing veritas and patches and all of the w2k patches.
When I go to install Exchange 2k system manager my install path is greyed out along with my install options? The box...
I have checked. It is not hidden. The name does show in System Manager when I query the list. It is just not making it over to outlook for some reason.
I have a users account that I had to rebuild and the account is listed as a recipient on the server under my All Address List/All Users when I do a preview.
However in Outlook when I go to the address list, the user is not listed? Am I missing a refresh somewhere? It's been about 3-4 days...
Every couple of weeks I am loosing the C$, D$ etc shares on one of my servers. I have to flip it back on in the registry per microsoft FAQ. The server is showing clean of any virus or any other strange activity? Any idea why this would occurr every now and then?
I know there are spyware packages but in this instance I don't think that is needed.
I know how to set mail that is incoming to go to the user but also go to an alternate recipient.
Is there a way to have outgoing mail duplicate itself to another account?
We have a user that management feels...
I have this a shot and also went over to my E2k server and started all of the Exchange services as the exchange admin account rather than the system.
No luck with the dang IS showing up. I have fought with bricks but I am stumped with the IS not showing and the bricks showing fine.
This has been my experience with 5.5 also. It's why I am dumbfounded. If I can see bricks fine it should have the correct access.
I just tried the link and bounced both services. Still seeing only bricks. I might have to place a call to Veritas on this one.
Starting the remote agent service on E2k as my service account didn't appear to do the trick.
i see and can backup alll mailboxes just fine. I have even restored mailboxes just fine. I just don't see the IS which means I am probably missing my public folders also.
Thanks Suprecky
Currently my exchange admin account and my backup exec service accout is the same account. However, now that you mention it, I am not sure if I have the BE service starting on the exchange box AS that account.
I did reinstall the E2k piece with the verification of the...
You scare me Jbud talking about rebuilding! I will try the update first.
Tell me more about the nested address list. I am trying to picture that one. Are you performing the deny on the "security" tab of the list? I have tried that and noticed that it didn't appear to have an...
You can stop the services and delete the file that is *.sch in the veritas folder. It is the schedule file. Then rebuild it. When it becomes corrupt it will appear to ignore running a scheduled job.
