I hear ya. I'm and old C programmer from way back. I used to (15 years ago) be with a company that created POS systems. We did everything from UI (In DOS of course) as well as writing our own screen, serial port, and other interrupts, gas pump controls, etc.
Problem is, I haven't written any...
Zowwie438 and others,
I don't mean to "hijack" this thread, but can someone quickly tell me if there is a way to make the calls to the C, or C++ dlls from VB.Net? That is the only programming environment we use in our company.
Again, sorry for taking this on a tangent.
Is there a way to setup outcall notification so that it sends an email, instead of calling a number? I had heard at one time this was possible, but I've also heard it is not...
Thanks for responding, comaboy.
Actually, I'm aware of the options under maill format, but they only allow you to create an auto signature that gets inserted on every email. I'm looking for a way to create a menu button to insert it only when I want to insert it. You use to be able to do that...
I've switched my Outlook 2003 edit from the standard Outlook to Word as the email editor. When you do that, you no longer have a menu selection to insert a signature file.
I'd like to create a menu item with the VBA code behind it to insert the signature file at the cursor position in a...
Thanks for the quick response! I tried the code, but I get Runtime Error 424 "Object Required".
Also, Outlook 2003 doesn't have the macro recorder anymore.
I have a user that wants a button on the toolbar in Outlook 2003 that will insert the smile character from the Wingding font when composing an email. Any body have a snippet of code I can use?
Redphone (if you are still monitoring),
I got this working. I reversed T/R on the cross connect, and voila! Works like a champ! This is a very clever solution.
I'm wondering if I was wrong to assume that I should connect Tip to Tip and Ring to Ring... Anyway, connecting Tip to Ring did the...
Redphone,
Don't know if you are still monitoring this thread, but if you are, maybe you can help me a little further...
I put a butt set on the analog port and hotdial works. Put the buttset on the aux port, and when I dial the tac for the page to that port, I hear the audio. When I cross...
I tested the analog port with an analog phone, and the hotdial function worked fine.
I didn't test the output of the aux port- wasn't sure of the best method. I'm guessing for some reason, its not going between 600 and infinite. This is the third port on this card. The other two are being...
Redphone,
Did that.
It's as if the analog port doesn't "see" that the aux port has gone "off hook", and then "on hook" to initiate the group page from the hotdial.
Is there something else that needs to be cross connected to the s,s1,sz,sz1 pins on the aux trunk?
dufus 2506,
Thanks for the response. What got me down this path was a thread/question I posted a few days ago about setting up a page group that would automatically be simultaneously paged when our receptionist did a Loudspeaker page. A member named redphone suggested that I connect a spare...
I'm looking for detailed information about the TN763 Aux Trunk card, what all it can be used for, and specifically how to set it up for various uses. I'd also like to find out about the S, S1, SZ and SZ1 pins are for, and specifics on how they may be used, connected to, strapped, etc. for...
redphone,
Can't seem to get this to work- everything seems to work, except for the path from the aux port to the analog port. I've checked and rechecked everything. Can you tell me if there is anything I need to do for that connection other than cross connect the T/R pair from one to the other?
I've heard of folks doing it this way:
Obtain a second VAL board.
Make sure you have all of the original announcements downloaded to a PC.
Unseat the original board.
Seat the new Val board.
Upload the announcements.
Unseat the new and reseat the old, or just leave them as is.
If the seated...
