Why can't I restore the/dev/boot & /dev/root directories from the tape device??? the notice appears when I try to restore, it said cannot write, check credentials... what is the correct sequence in restoring??? /dev/root /dev/boot /u /u/informix any sequence???

thanks for all your help, the support from compaq has fixed the error. I just set the jumper settings of the ide cdrom to master. And thats it it was installed succesfully without any errors. Again thank you to all of you.
