Why do some phones have a "+" after thier name?

I'm not sure what the 'M' stands for but it basically means that there is a headset amplifier within the phone. Kind of like putting a Plantonics M12 amp in the device directly. With this type phone you could operate a headset or handset simultaneously. We have a few 6416M phones here but they...

Avaya PBX calls through Cisco Call Manager

We have a Cisco Call Manager in our admin office and phone sets in three locations in the U.S. (New York, Chicago, L.A.). We interface our PBX and the Call Manager via a DS1 and my PBX extension to Call Manager extension calls go across fine. However, I want to do toll bypass by routing calls...

Cover to Audix From Cisco Call Manager

Does anyone know how I can get my Cisco Call Manager phone to cover to my Audix VM? The two systems are linked via DS1 board and can exchange calls but I cannot figure out how to get Cisco to cover to Audix with RNA.

Intermittent Loud Static on T1 Lines

Great advice ctr999! I actually found the offending member yesterday as most of the call center agents were able to ID the same trunk over and over with their TRK-ID buttons. I do have ISDN-PRI which made it difficult to isolate the member as I still do not know of a method to direct access ISDN...

Intermittent Loud Static on T1 Lines

I recently switched our 4 T1 ccts from standard copper facilities to a SONET (fiber) facility. I now have users complaining that they hear loud bursts of static at least twice a day on random calls. I originally was using UTP for my cross connect between DS1/CSU and smart jack but converted to...

    Trapping ANIs and dialed numbers

Does anyone know why my our G3si does not always send SMDR for inbound or outbound calls? We have an Infortext (aka ISI) call accounting system and I have run reports for VDN and station extensions and can report on the caller IDs (inbound) and called numbers (outbound), however, I have...

    Command for trunk-group circuit ID

If you do a 'cha tru x' and go to the 4th page (I am on ver 7) you will see a name field next to the trunk port fields. I've seen several systems in which the programmer will list the cct ID next to the 1st channel on each T1 to use as and ID. I hope this helps.
