Excellent - maybe you guys can help. Ovetrwhealmed with spam and running Webshield. Have obviously blocked the word Viagra (big wow), is there an easy way or an easy black list to get the other 99%?
Managed to sort this one. Solution for anyone else that has the same problem:
Boot in safe mode with network support so only bare minimum services start. Then re-add the server to the domain and re-boot. Cause was a corrupt computer account.
Have been logging in and out working on a couple of problems with Exchange 2003 running on Server2003. Just gone to log back in and username and password are greyed out. Same is true if i select local machine rather than domain. Has anyone else seen this?
I am getting the same crap as you guys. We can get 250mb+ on bricks level one day and then 8mb the next! Restarting the RPC service fixes it some of the time, others you need a complete reinstall. My size is set to 1 though - worth upping?
We're also having big problems with AS9 backing up Exchange2003 with the agent. It runs brilliantly one day at bout 280MB a minute. The next day it drops to 8MB a minute! Is a regular re-install the only solution?
Nah, nothing that points to it. I do remember our old 6.61 jobs failing now and then becuase the drives needed cleaning - auto clean must have been switched off. I'll adjust the config and report back.
Have been having problems with jobs running and then going on hold for no reason. I think the cause is when Arcserve does an auto-clean, it puts the job on hold, but never seems to switch it back to ready. Anyone else seen this? Refers to AS9 on Win2K using a TL891 library.
Okay! I have one of the jobs working now. Not sure how though!
The sceond job continues to crash to hold a few minutes after startup, then you put itback to ready and it runs.
Now, the job that works has owner administrator and the one we're still having problems with has owner caroot. Hmm. Any...
No good for disaster recovery planning though danmuller. We burn copies of all our Quarks and hold them off-site. They will not run on a network unless they are individually licensed copies so I agree that this activation stuff renders the product unfit for purpose.
Oh, wise words signal - rock on.
Yeah yeah, thanks for the usual.
Cheers signal though.
An update that might shed at least a little hope. We spoke to representatives from Quark at Mac Expo a few weeks ago. Everyone was talking about the activation problems and they promised an update before Christmas that would sort this and...
