You could also buy a copy of Ghost from Norton for about $70 and copy the entire hard drive onto another. Otherwise, it will not install correctly using the method you mention.
Are you getting an error message, and what is it? Are you using the same or newer version of Publisher as your contact? If his version is newer than yours, you will not be able to open the files. Are the files compatible with Publisher in the first place?
