BE 8.6 Jobs Will Not Finish After Backup Concludes
We run BE 8.6 on 25 servers. Over the last few weeks, I've noticed a severe dropoff in backup speed from 300 + MB to less than 20 MB on five of the servers, which is messing up our backup schedule since the jobs take so long. Where is the password file to delete for "already logged in"?
The issue: I cannot backup new servers in a w2k domain from a BE server in a Nt4 domain. I get the "you may already be logged in.... " message every time. I have seen notes on this problem on the web, but I don't see this file that several users have mentioned to delete. They call...- ciscoccnp75

backup exec off line
Best way to get rid of that: 1) Turn your tape drive off and back on. 2) Boot the server the drive's attached to. That way the server will see the drive when it boots up. Happens to me occasionally and this works every time.- ciscoccnp75

Can BE Back Up A Server In An Untrusted Domain?
This will sound like an MS exam question. :) Three domains, A, B, and C. Backup Exec server resides in Domain C. A and B are exclusively W2K domains; C is exclusively an NT 4.0 domain.
