thanks for looking around for me. :) the 80002 error code seems to pop up all over the place for a great number of problems. that particular kb article doesn't seem to apply to us right now, as the disk based web is just a staging area for the site before being published. as such, it doesn't...- oranges

Problems Accessing Disk-Based Web
I have a problem accessing certain directories on a disk-based web, over a LAN at work, using my (slow) laptop. I think, I may be wrong and I haven't counted properly, that this happens with the directories containing larger amounts of files. The error I get is (roughly) The server ""...- oranges
