    Roaming profiles not deleting

Well, Microsoft finally admitted that it's a problem with their product. For weeks they were telling me it was the anti-virus or the backup software. Suddenly, they turn around and say: "Oh yeah. Here's an article that was never published on technet." The profiles were locking...

    Policy Reader...????

Sorry, Lagerwiej is right. I was thinking of ntuser.dat (the profile not the policy). As far as printing out the adm files, I know there is a utility in the resource kit for creating your own adm files. Maybe that would work for you. I cant remember what it is called at the moment. Not much...

How do I find out if program is running under Citrix?

Citrix is not an OS so the variable wont work. You could check for the existence of citrix files on the server and if present then assume it's a citrix server. Gray

    Roaming Profile Problems

There is a computer policy setting for deleting cached profiles and there is a utility called delprof.exe which will delete the profiles. See the other thread about this topic for more info.

    Roaming profiles not deleting

Yes, I believe the server still thinks that there are files open. It looks like the screen saver logon.scr is still running after the user is kicked. Unfortunately, we'd like users to be able to be idle for more than fifteen minutes and we'd like the workstation to lock up with the logon.scr...

    IMA wont start!

Did you recently update the MDAC. Citrix has issues with MDAC version 2.6. It stops the IMA service from starting. You cant rollback either. There is a MDAC 2.6a which we've been using which works fine with Citrix MetaFrame XP + W2K. Hope this helps, Gray

    Roaming profiles not deleting

Yes, we have defined policies on each server and the option is set to delete cached copies of roaming profiles when users log off. The problem is: the profiles are still there after the user logs off. If you go into system properties and look at the list of user profiles, the profiles are shown...

    Loosing nework maps

Sorry I'm still confused. Here's what I think you're saying: You login and drives are mapped \\SERVER1\SHARE$ (u) \\SERVER2\SHARE$ (v) etc After running your merge program, the drive mappings change to \\SERVER3\SHARE$ (u) \\SERVER4\SHARE$ (v) If this is the case, take a good look at the...

    Policy Reader...????

I believe that regedt32 can do it. Try "load hive" and point to ntconfig.pol.

    Roaming profiles not deleting

I have also been experiencing this problem in a windows-only environment. The profile locking doesn't occur for all users. W2K + Metaframe XPe + Office 2K + IE 5.5 on the servers. Profiles are stored on W2K file servers. I've been using Delprof.exe on a regular basis while I investigate. I...

    Program menu

Typically a folder will be sorted alphabetically. Try changing the names of the programs so that the year is first. This way they should be sorted when you look in your folder. ie 1979_program.exe 1980_program.exe 1981_program.exe etc

    remove drive mapping

This posting is a little clearer but still confusing. Here's what it sounds like: When you connect to Citrix, your drives are remapped. This is preventing your Word macro from functioning correctly. If that's it you have a few choices: 1) create a duplicate Word macro which points to the new...

    Loosing nework maps

Your posting is a bit unclear sspheonix. When you connect to the Citrix server it probably re-maps your local drives to V: or W: or something. Try using a different drive letter for the drive you want mapped. You may need to adjust your Word macro to point to the new drive letter. Hope this...
