Joe...The 3550 appears to have considerable multilayer capability, I have never seen
one, [fairly new]. here's a cut from Cisco CCO on the issue of layer 3 ACL's, filters, etc.

A good question....I guess you already know the definition, "native VLAN" refers to a VLAN whose frames are NOT encapsulated with tagging information under 802.1Q trunking rules. Further questions would be, without vlan id, would it be trunked at all?
Also, with pruning, would any...
Hi, That sounds like a very general question. I guess you are running
Cisco clustering software., CMS and/or SNMP to manage the cluster
I grabbed these links to some clustering stuff on Cisco's CCO disks

The Cat 2980G is a Pretty smart switch. You did not mention who or what
else should have privleges with your blind port. It sounds like you would
want to assign it to its own Vlan, and group it with whomever should have access.

A router I have running 12.0(6) behaves as follows:
#clock rate ?
speed (bits per second)
1200

#clock rate 56000

#clockrate ?
%Unrecognized command
#clockrate 56000

It seems both formats will set the speed ok..but "clockrate"...
Well, here's my humble opinion...I'm guessing it's the 3500XL that you have. I don't think it will support MLS functions and will not support access filters, ( Telnet being a

Any failure that results in breaking the KB connection will take
the machine to the OK prompt. However the prompt should show
"type Go to resume". That is where you end up following a "stop A"
sequence, which...
You've probably solved this by now. For what it's worth,
the early Ultra1's had a cooling fan on the cpu that caused
a lot of trouble.(noisy, slow down, run a while and stop)
cpu would get hot and crash the box...New U1s have a big
heat sink, no fan....
