I'm wondering the best way to use Outlook for meeting room bookings. Is it a mailbox for each resource and use outlook to book an appointment with the room as a recipient?
I did a test in moving disks to another server and all went well
In order for me to try out the failover using our SAN i actually had to use a DL360 G4 and a DL360 G4p although they are slighlty different they both use th 6i raid controller. Only thing you need to ensure is each sisk is...
Hi,

Unless you are planning a cpu intensive app server you'll probably find that your disks will be the bottleneck on any server. Plan carefully your raid configs and speed of disks as this can make a hell of a difference on a server and no matter how fast the cpu or ram in the box you'll always...
Hi Hondy,
I'm actually looking at the same question although mine is for a DR purpose incase this happens. I have set up an identical server with , Identical Raid config/firmware, System ROM etc. and in theory it will work no problem.
The trunks both consist of 2 x 1gb Fibre. When i plug both in the network grinds to a halt. This is why i was wondering if i need to change the default value of the fail over link?
TIA
We have a 5412ZL with a 2 fibre trunk to our existing network. these connect to a 2800 switch and then uplinks at 100mb to our old Netgear switches. These then uplink again then terminate in the comms room.
I am just having 2 more fibres installed directly from the comms room to the new server...

HP only offer 2k/xp drivers and MS office doesn't like any of these.
Any help would be greatly appreciated
I remember a while ago having a similar problem and to improve it i had to tick/untick an option in adobe print setup to print document as an image.

Does anyone know where to find the location of the recent addresses in Outlook XP or 2003. Id like to be able to transfer it to users new PC's when they have new profiles etc.

I personally would not use RIP to image a server. The reason being is that it will be removed from the domain as part of the riprep process. and then re created with any domain accounts being removed. I think it may even fail if more than 1 user profile account is found in...
I ran the first image from the Cd because i have problems with regional settings. If installed from the RIS flat image i couldnot get the clients locale to English UK rather than US even when editing the .sif files. The only way round was to create the image from the CD
What you have done is correct. Might be worth checking the permissions on the reminst directory.
One thing to note is that the client will only be able to view the images which are compatible with it's HAL. Notebooks won't see PC Images.
Did you copy the whole\of the remoteinstall directory or...
Raid ADG (Sdvanced Data Guarding) works similar to Raid 5 but allows you to lose 2 disks from the array before you lose all data stored on them. I can't personally see and disadvantage of tghis apart from you'll effectively need another disk in the array
I used RIS at my old company and it is pretty . You can create images from a pc etc with apps installed. You can then create a software installation in GP to install any new apps so when the pc boots it will install the new software
The one thing i should say is that to create an image for...
