Okay, I guess I'll need to reinstall IE. Thanks so much for your feedback and patience.

IE 7 File menu on Vista Home

Sorry if I was not clear. 1. I cannot see the File menu and selecting the File menu from the Tools menu does nothing. 2. Once I get the File menu to display, I know how to add/delete menu options such as Print and Print Preview. So, my problem is actually getting the File menu to display.

IE 7 File menu on Vista Home

I know that the Print and Print Preview options are in the File menu. That's why I'm trying to enable it. There is a checkmark next to the Menu bar when I go to Tools but it does not appear at the top of my webpage. I cannot figure out how to get to it so that I can add/delete commands...

Jason, the Menu bar is on permanently; it does not toggle on and off. Also, the Alt key changes nothing.

How can I get to the File menu? I want to be able to control the printer properties when printing out a web page.

    Security Certificate

Thanks, linney and smah, for your feedback. I'm quite certain that the DOD is aware of the MS certification process and I don't intend to get caught up in a street fight between those two bullies. It's just so frustrating because I was able to use the site before purchasing a Vista system...

    Security Certificate

I am trying to access https://chart.donhr.navy.mil/ and keep getting an error that the certificate was not issued by a trusted authority. I have contacted the website and have been assured that the certificate is valid (issued by: DOD CA-13, from 2007-03-05 to 210-03-05). I installed the...

I'm new to wireless and completely clueless

Roger, I took your advice and called Cox. I ordered 6mb service for $29.95/mo. I will buy the modem for $29.95 and they are going to deliver it to me tomorrow. Thanks so much for holding my hand through this process. You gave me the confidence I needed. So, you can tell everyone that you...

I'm new to wireless and completely clueless

Roger, thanks for the explanation. It confirms what I learned today from my co-workers. I had a feeling that it was, if not illegal, at least unethical so I asked at work. I'm in Las Vegas, NV, USA and will definitely get my own legal Internet connection. I used Cox before and was very...

I'm new to wireless and completely clueless

Thanks for the reply Dan. I did not purposely connect to anyone or anything. It was just there when I started this brand new computer so I'm assuming it's something that Toshiba loaded on my laptop. Maybe I should try the Toshiba website for guidance?

I'm new to wireless and completely clueless

The past several years have been tough for me but I'm finally back on the Internet. I just bought a new Toshiba laptop and am trying to learn what it can do for me. I have a wireless connection that goes to something called "alfonso". I guess I need "wireless for dummies". If some kind soul...
