I've been trying unsuccessfully to create a site on a fairly new (Oct '05) install of PS4. Whenever I attempt to create the site, I get this: "Error: An error occurred while executing this task."
I have IIS 6 installed, as well as J#.
This is getting really annoying, as none of the published...
Let me begin by letting you know I am a total newbie when it comes to SQL. I fell into this as I am the only tech staff here.
I'm trying to figure out how to do a net send when this query:
SELECT * FROM [TABLE]
WHERE Len(COLUMN) < 11
returns any rows. I have set a job up to run every 5 mins...
I know there are a few third party software solutions to allow this, but I was wondering if anyone knew of a way to allow users the ability to access the outside world with Exchange IM. Currently, anyone here who needs external IM is using Trillian, along with Exchange IM. It would be nice (and...
I had tried a cross-over cable as well. Actually, tried a few differant patch and cross-over cables. Sorry, should have mentioned that in my original post.
Symantec support has determined it to be a hardware problem. I am going to do a firmware upgrade, as per their instructions. We'll see if...
I'm trying to set up this firewall/vpn appliance, but can't even get the WAN light to come on. We have been using a W2K server with NAT, and the connection is fine. Using the same cable and everything. I just can't seem to figure this out. I think it may actually be a defective unit; but thought...
Hope someone can provide me with some direction...
We have a small number of users with laptops. Previously, they had been left to backup their own data. Well, the inevitable happened, one crashed, and the user hadn't been doing her backups. Now, it's up to me to devise a procedure to ensure...
Thanks, that would work, but I was trying to bind it to our internal DHCP. I accomplished it by selecting the NIC for our LAN under the server properties, IP tab. That did the trick!
Hope someone can help!
I have setup a simple VPN on our WIN2K DC. We are able to connect fine. However, we are unable to browse the network. I checked the IP address assigned to that adapter on the client, and saw that it was not assigned through DHCP. Needless to say, it defeats the purpose of...
I'm trying to set up WINS on my DC, to start a push and pull with a member server at a different location so that the 9x machines there can join the domain.
However, Wins on the DC keeps binding to my DSL IP, instead of the IP assigned to the NIC for our internal network. Is there any way to...
I think I may already have my answer, but thought I'd just throw this out to see if anyone knows any tricks.
We have a few users in our organization using older PC's with 98SE installed. We would like to "upgrade" these to NT4, for added security, etc. We thought about just upgrading...
Thanks for all the suggestions.
It turned out that after we had hooked up our DSL here at the main building, the main DNS server on the DC was our ISP! DNS was working fine for this building, but that's why the other building couldn't resolve names.
Everything is fine on this end. I had set everything up for dynamic updates.
I have the Reverse Lookup zone set up as 198.162.x, with domains for 100 and 102.
Nslookup shows that the server is working, but can't resolve the domain name.
Hi, all!
I have a dilemna here, and I hope someone will be able to help.
We have just set up a W2K domain, and deployed it in our main building. Everything runs A-OK. However, we have a second location that we would like to join to this domain, to cut down on administration, and share our...
