    CLAN and IP phone

Has anyone seen an issue where thousands of packets per sec are attempted to be exchanged between an IP phone and CLAN over a VPN. VPN dropped out and firewall blocked ports devices thought they had connections on. This caused some major issues and I havent come across it before. I understand...

    using splits

If a split is used without a vector but with measurements switched to external(cms) do I route calls just to the hunt group/splt extension?. Will this just do the same as routing via a vector(ie queue to xx) but without there being a queue? How would the stats work in this instance? There...

    Matrix logger trunk setup

We are using a Nice Matrix Logger to logs calls over a number of E1 circuits. We now want to record some internal calls as well. To do this we route calls over tie trunks via the matrix logger and back to the switch. The tie trunks and call transfers work ok but I'm not sure if its possible...

    Connecting DS1s back to back

Dwalin, I have set it up and the signaling groups are in service! However when I make a call it goes across the two ds1s/trunk groups(checked via cms), arrives at the right phone but there is no speech heard from either end. No sure if this is down to the supp protocol on the signalling group?

    Connecting DS1s back to back

Dwalin, I tried to create the signalling groups and the supplementary protocol defaults to A. I believe it should be set to B for QSIG basic signalling. However it seems we done have this as a customer option:( You mentioned that the primary d-channel should be the 24th timeslot. Normally I...

    Connecting DS1s back to back

I realised my mistake just after my last post. I made a cable up switching the two pairs you mentioned 1,2 & 4,5 and the test 138 passed! Thx Did you say that I do need a signalling group with this?

    Connecting DS1s back to back

I used a cross-over cable to connect the DS1s and I do get a fail on the test 138? I am not connecting via the Matrix logger yet. I just wanted to test the ds1s back to back first.

    Connecting DS1s back to back

one more thing. For a tie group what kind of signalling group is needed , if any? I'm getting 1281 errors and from the Maintenance manual it suggests a loss of signal?

    Connecting DS1s back to back

Thanks Dwalin. We do actually use service observer but we need to scedule recordings through the logger. This infor will help a lot. I have the settings for the tie trunk group but I'm not sure what settings to use for the DS1s . Could you help with this? Thanks

    Connecting DS1s back to back

I'm using a NICE matrix logger trunk side and need to record some internal calls. The only way I can think of making this possible is by routing the internal calls out through one DS1 which is connected to the matrix logger and then back into another DS1. I think it will be a tie trunk set up...

Is it possible to remove the facility to Log off an extension form a 4620 IP phone? Phone users are pressing the Options button and logging the phone off and I'd liek to stop them from doing this. Thanks

Coverage path doesnt work on Direct Agent

Can anyone assist with Direct agent coverage. I have set up a trunk group, vdns, skill and agents with a COR that has direct agent optioned. When a call is made via the VDN to a direct agent(caller enters digits of agents extension) the call arrives at the phone where the agent is logged on but...

    trunk to trunk transfer options

I noticed there is a system wide setting in sys feature for trunk to trunk transfers (ALL,NONE, ore RESTRICTED). I would like to find out out exactly how this works with the COS option trunk to trunk transfer override. If anyone has a good explanation then it would be appreciated.

VDN call to Direct Agent in AUX mode

Thanks. Q-calls light doesnt work on Direct Agent. If I assign the agent the q-calls button for their DA skill, the calls goes into queue when they are on AUX but the light doesnt flash. The call can only be answered by that agent so it seems the DA queue is quite separate to the skill queue...

VDN call to Direct Agent in AUX mode

I'm setting up direct agents. I'm using a route-to command to direct a call to an agent. However all works well when in Auto-in but when the agent is in AUX the only visible indicator that a call is waiting is that the AUX button flashes. The caller then hears the DA announcement and music...
