    I should have also mentioned that if you have your chart in a group header or footer you also have to right click and select "Apply changes to all charts". This only applies the changes to the chart in the same grouping. If you don't do this only the one you changed will be affected.

    Actually I figured it out. It you make any changes with the chart analyzer and press save, they will not be saved. However, if you go to the text portion of the report and move a field, any field, and then press save the chart changes will be saved as well. This drove me nuts for a day...
