Our company uses a custom signature in our HTML emails that references a gif image located on our web server. We have Exchange server and Clients run Outlook. Here's the code:
<A href="http://www.website.com/vcards/employee5.map"><IM isMap src="http://www.webserver.com/vcards/employee5.gif"...
Dang, has no one worked around reformatting the HD on this one? We just changed IP of the file server and no way to delete it from trying to sync! I hate to dissolve offline files and re-sync as users have over 5G! Bummer is I know now to force all changes, have everyone turn off sync, then...
Nothing there. We don't use IMAP and the article was about Office XP which does not cause us problems. I am opening this with MSPSS and will post results if I get any.
Clients on Outlook 2003 SP1, Exchange 5.5 server SP4. Sometimes, one of my users replies to an internal email and when the user looks for the email in Sent Items, it comes up with a blank To: field. 99/100 of her emails to me are fine, but once in a while I get one with no To. Always using...
My company uses HTML email with an embedded gif for a snappy signature card. Problem is, some Notes servers take the email, dump the attachments (usually word or Excel docs), and take the embedded gif and attach it. Really causing headaches from my users and my solution is to send plain text...
I worked with MS on this for 5 hours and they said cant be fixed. I am looking for a third party tool to open the logs and try and stitch back the emails. I lost one of the logs that was not yet committed so others after it wouldn't go into store. Now I have 20 logs with no way to put them in.
Had a rough day yesterday as 2 tranaction logs files were corrupted and though I was able to recover from full backup and diff, I still have 14 hours of tlogs to add. I was able to restich in 12 hours of them, but now have 20 5 megs logs that didn't go in. MS Support said no way to fix due to...
Super odd:
User sends emails all day, but reviewing sent items shows some emails sent (in one case from her to me only) have a blank To: field. The emails do go out correctly and the To: filed looks fine on the email I recieved. Any ideas? Unfortunately this is not a repeatable error.
Did a...
Can anyone please verify this? I just set up Outlook 2003 and cache mode on a mailbox of 1.8G. Got a message saying could not send/recieve, blah, blah, but I have no store limits. Once I delete some of the deleted items all was well, so I suspect 2G limit in ost, but ain't that about the same...
Exchange 5.5 SP4 on W2K SP4. I need to do some training and want to block internet email for just a few mailboxes. I need to train on our app that hooks into Outlook, but am worried users would accidently send email to live addresses and need to prevent that.
Is there anyway I can block a...
Thank you for finding this proof.
I guess I will have to look elsewhere for the cause of directory hanging up, but the more I hear, the more I find that common among those who run Exchange remotely.
Thanks again, all.
NT4 SP4 PDC had custom Foxpro DB running on it. Client decided to buy and install W2K on same box as dual boot. W2K boots fine, but NT4 starts booting like 2K (b&W screen with press F8, etc.) then Blue screens with IO1_initialization_Failed 0x00000069.
First thought maybe the ntfs.sys file...
Thanks for the info. MS recommended I rebuild the OS to 2K and install 5.5 back in and restore pub priv and dir.
I suspect two possibilities: a large number of folks with 1000M+ mailboxes syncing all the time and huge size of dir (due to 30000+ public folder, each of which get an SMTP address...
Have the same problem, but need to get the addresses from my PFs. I have about 10000 folders and really want to be able to look over the addresses.
Anyone with ideas?
W2K Pro SP3, O2K Pro SP3 all updates and patches. Hard drive and RAM tests clean, but about once every three days bosses Outlook crashes while just writing an email:
OUTLOOK.EXE Application Error: Instruction at "0x636bd8b8" referenced memory at "this code changes". THe...
.pst also fail. THe reason is these DB type of files are generally used my multiple users and can have issues when you try and sync and the file is ope by another user. You can either right -click and not sync them, or if you really wish to (yes, I know you do):

click Start, click...
Server in Collocation on 10M pipe, all users in offices on T1s. Exchange hangs especially when users hit send.
100 Mailboxes, 16G store, 2x700Xeons, 2G RAM. About 2000 addresses in GAL due to PF abuse. Lettermark software on clients for nice stationary that qeries the GAL one extra time to...
I have something similar and have yet to find a good answer. Exchange traffic talks RPC and you can use a tool called RPCping. It is on the 5.5 CD or you can find it through technet. You run it on both the client and server and eventually so the RPC timeout (and the requesting data at the...
I put NEMX (www.nemx.com) on our 5.5 server and love it for the following reasons:
1. Cheap: $500
2. Easy to install: downloaded the trial version and installed and other than my IMC stopping and starting during the install, did not take down the server. It did not even need a reboot on NT4...
