I wouldn't everything pretty much rides on that including your group policy, DNS and a few other things these are branded to the first site and really can't be moved easily.

Just a question if you rename why would you need to delete if it is now pointing at something meaningful?
I have install win2k server successfully everything is working, but I have an unknown device. The device is ESG-SHV SCA HSBP M9 SCSI processor device.
I have looked high and low for a driver and I can't find it. I believe it is connect to one of these SCSI devices,

Just for anyone else. before i did what jdwalker suggested. I put a bat files on the machines and a Pif in the start up group.
Why, this way the machine time sync and map drives. but if you really want things to work right do what KD said to do.

Since the snap server is more unix then win2k I would try putting on the unix agent. I am not for sure but this is were I had my problem. I only have an older snap so this my be wrong information.
you may try not putting on an agent just some thoughts.

I have to agree on the first two posts win2k is great in networking, but if you want compatible then get XP. It has a nifty little property that allows for legacy programs. It also work great with RIS and GPO. Software issues I have yet to fine it works great with most hardware.

Just a thought when you use a windowsxp work station you get a full screen with remote desktop. with win2k you get a small window.
I have also seen netmeeting used but I think that is very unsafe, you can also use VNC which is cheap(free) it all depends on what you want to see. if you want to...

I have a problem i have installed the ad client on my windows 95 machines (just 6) but they do not run the login scripts. I have used the policy editor and put one out there but they still do not map the drives.
Any suggestions my boss is breathing down my neck.
