How long do you want to save the CPU usage data for?
You may want to have a look at SysTrack from Lakeiside Software (www.LakesideSoftware.com) Their tool has the ability to track CPU usage in real time, but also stores the data for trending purposes for up to three years.
Good luck!
If 3k is reasonable, you should take a look at the Inventory module of SysTrack, from Lakeside Software. (www.LakesideSoftware.com)
SysTrack tracks over 300 different hardware components, all software loaded on the machines, as well as any changes that have taken place. It also includes a...
Hi analogia22,
You might want to take a look at SysTrack from Lakeside Software before you purchase MOM 2005. SysTrack easily integrates with Microsoft environments, and offers a similar feature set. Real-time monitoring of system conditions and services, graphical analysis, and a...
You may want to look at SysTrack 3.1 from Lakeside Software (www.LakesideSoftware.com) SysTrack can help proactively manage system conditions such as high CPU utilization, memory leaks, free disk space, etc., and the associated services.
Check it out when you get a chance; I think you will be...
Andy,
If the applications are not being executed, they will not show up in the Billing Reports of RM. In order for an application to report usage, they must execute for a period of 5 seconds and use 1% of the systems CPU. This qualifies the application as used...
Do you have access to the...
Brandon,
You might be right. The old RMS 1.0 used to have a Billing feature which would allow you to track logins/outs; this may not be available in RM (XPe).
A company called Lakeside Software was the original producers of the RMS technology. By the looks of their website, it seems they have...
bran2235,
Since you are an XPe user, you could try getting user log in/out information through the Billing Reports in Resource Manager. RM stores user data for a period of 14 days by default.
Good luck!
Pgaliardo,
Ok, thanks for clarifying.
There is a tool that might help you accomplish most of what you are asking. SysTrack from Lakeside Software, designed specifically for Terminal Servers, can track per specific user id. The reporting facility specifies who accessed what site, when, and how...
This may be a simple question, but let me reiterate what you are looking for to see if I understand this correctly. You want different users to be restricted from accessing different sites all through the same Terminal Server?
Hello Sundance1980,
If I might add one more product to the list of suggestions, you may want to take a look at SysTrack from Lakeside Software. (www.LakesideSoftware.com)
SysTrack lacks the complicated installation process found with other tools, but encompasses massive scalability (10,000+...
Hello tsparham,
There are a couple of different tools that come to mind which can accomplish this but I would focus on SysTrack from Lakeside Software. SysTrack is an easy to use tool which can be used to monitor different system conditions; disk space, being one of them. The alerts can range...
Phoenix32,
I'm going to have to stick to my guns on this one, and recommend SysTrack. Easy to implement, use, and maintain. There is an agent which is pushed out to each machine, and runs locally at the system level, 24/7. This capability allows monitoring of the sites automatically, without...
You may want to give some thought to tracking usage.
ISA is a great tool if you know the sites you want to block; however, you may additionally want to track what sites people are visiting. ISA is a little weak in the reporting area.
There are a couple of different tools that come to mind which can accomplish this but I would focus on SysTrack from Lakeside Software. SysTrack can alert based upon different system conditions; CPU, disk capacity, event log entries, service status, etc. The alerts can range from an audible...
SysTrack from Lakeside Software can track this data too. SysTrack reports who the current logged on user of the system is, and also stores a history of who logged on to which systems.
Check it out when you have a chance, www.lakesidesoftware.com...
