- Yes i have tried all 3 PCI slots
- I have an identical box with the same NIC and M/B and it works fine.
- The network card is meant to work with windows 2000.
-Trust me i have consulted the google oracle many many times...hehe

Well access could be denied for several reasons... Try closing all your programs (using ctrl+alt+del if necessary)and trying to delete again. If it is a system file or a file on a network it may be that you don't have permissions to delete the file. Log in as administrator or go to the computer...
I changed the setting to 100mb/s full duplex and it still had the same problem. I don't think that is the problem, i am beginning to suspect power management or some other stupid windows "feature"...haha

I agree with cdogg that it is probably the type of cdr. Try and buy a better quality one. A gold cd (when you look underneath not the printed side) would be a better one to try as they are better quality then green cds. I assume the drive works just reading normal cds? eg. bought games, programs...
I had this problem just yesterday actually.
Try pushing in the disk a little bit further, just push firmly and maybe it will click in a little better. This is what happened to me yesterday, it wasn't far enough in to read properly. If it is not this simple however then i do recommend the tip...
