Can anyone help me determine how much FLash Ram I have installed in preparation for OS upgrade to latest version.
Thanks,
HavanaJoe - Thanks for the suggestion but, being a financial institution makes releasing our firewall config a breach of our security policy. I was just curious if anyone had ever heard of this happening. Not being too familiar with the PIX, I was curious if possibly someone is coming in...
I have PIX515 with OS 5.0(3). Periotically I have one of over 100 users will be unable to get to the Internet. All other internal LAN works okay and IP is the only protocol. To fix the problem, I have to change the IP address of the PC and exclude that address from the DHCP scope. This...
For every DUN connection we create, we get the operator assisted dial dialog box when trying to connect. We have looked at the properties for both the connection and the modem. Not only can we not diable the assisted dial feature, but we can't find the option for it at all. Acording to docs...
First of all why does a search for files done from the start button involve Office and second of all, is there any way of stopping it from asking for the CD when a new user logs in?
Thanks,
When a new user logs in, the network printers are not available and have to be reinstalled. This seems to apply to drive maps as well. I am certain it is a profile issue. Could someone point me in the right direction?
Looking for some kind of default profile that I could use for the initial...

Thanks,
Problem:
I am running XP Home with Outlook 2000. I have configured Outlook to work offline so that my users can dial in and synchronise with the Exchange server via modem. It works fine in "offline mode" if I use the LAN connection, but it won't synchronize if I use the modem when...
I am trying to determine if XP Pro is meant to be a replacement for 2000 Pro. When is XP Pro a good choice and when is Win 2K Pro a good choice? Can anyone point me to a whitepapaper that describes this in terms that aren't so MS-ish.
Our company is planning a migration and I am trying to...
This screen only lets me enter a workgroup name. Has no place for domain name. I have entered domain name in the workgroup field as well since I use this as workgroup name also. This still doesn't prompt for network login at boot.
