Having the same problem with a number of users, did you ever determine the cause?

Currently installing CM 3.3 on IBM servers, the Publisher has a DVD ROM and install went fine. Subscriber has standard CD ROM, install crashed part way through. Has anyone seen this before? Can you install CM 3.3 without a DVD ROM?

SP4 solved the problem!

Thanks mfircam, I never loaded SP4 because of all the problems there seemed to be with it. I will load it now, hopefully this will resolve the issue.

I have some users that cannot always connect to the Internet because the proxy settings are being disabled.  Even after I check the proxy server checkbox to enable again, they are disabled again after a reboot.  Happens on Win95, 98, NT4.  Anyone run into this before?

Assuming that this isn't something that just happened, check for bent pins on the connectors.
