I have 3 old (very old) Lotus word processing files (extension is .lwp) that I would like to open and save as something that can be opened in MS Word. The files have only sentimental value. Can anyone suggest a conversion program or some other way to accomplish saving these files?
Thanks!
John

I am an infrequent user of PowerPoint. I have a PP presentation that I created a few years ago. I no longer have the original vinyl recording of the music I placed in the PP presentation, nor do I have the mp3 file I had made. Is there a way to extract the attached audio from the PP...
I'm posting this question in the ZA forum because I don't know where else to post it. ZA may be part of the problem but I'm not at all sure. Suggestions appreciated.

Hi all,
I am scanning a letter on letterhead via Acrobat's File/Import/Scan menu. The quality of the scanned document leaves quite a bit to be desired. For instance, instead of a white background I'm getting light grey (blue if printed on a color printer)and the contrast between the text and...

Is it possible to convert a PowerPoint presentation to a DVD playable format? If so, what software would be needed?
I don't use PowerPoint but just received a presentation that I'd like to be able to play at home on the TV.
Thanks for your help.

Ah ha! That sounds like a real possibility. I've never used Disk Cleanup. Looked at it (or something similar) when I was using Win Me but did not use it as I got the impression that it was looking to free up disk space by removing lots of "unneeded" files including jpegs, etc. I was not sure...
Hi all,
I need to run some legacy software that performs correctly under Windows Me but not under XP. Can someone point me to <step-by-step> instructions for reformating my HD and setting it up to boot either Me or XP on demand? XP would hopefully be the default.
Thanks for any help or...
Hi all,
I have a few "psd" (photoshop)and "jpeg" files that Windows XP will not allow me to move to other directories because XP claims they are "being used by another program". They are NOT. I've checked the file "properties" and find nothing there that would be causing the problem. Can...

Is anyone having problems using v.5.0 to access web links which were created in Adobe Acrobat v6.0 Pro? Some of the staff here has upgraded to 6.0 Pro and those who still have 5.0 cannot open links in pdfs created by 6.0.
Helllllllp!
Good Morning!
Is it possible for an html link from within a pdf to force the linked document to open in a new browser window? If so, how, please?
Background: I have an online pdf document which contains, throughout the document, links to powerpoint and pdf "exhibit" pages. The user will...
Thank you DeCojute. The html code works perfectly. And now I even have a simple enough Javascript so I can give it a try too. Have a great day! : ^ )
John
Can someone please refresh my memory on the html code and timing string that will automatically redirect a user to another page on the site? I used it once several years ago but that page is long gone and all I can find now are Javascript redirects which I do not understand.
Thanks,
John
Hi everyone,
Didn't know where to post this question so decided the operating system group was most appropriate. Hope someone can help.

Hi everyone,
I've already located and tried the solutions to this problem which were posted on this site in October (?) 2003 (not sure of the date). It does not <seem> to be an application or process problem as it occurs even if I "Turn Off" the pc immediately after boot when nothing...
Wullie & Violation,
Thanks to both of you for your help. I've decided to push the boss to allow the "right click on the link" procedure. Just curious though as to just what viol8ion is in violation of and also, where our "Mate" Wullie might be located (me, myself and I...
Wullie,
Thanks for the info and the link to tutorial-world. I managed to learn that content-disposition has something to do with Coldfusion -- whatever that is. By now you're no doubt beginning to suspect that I am not technically proficient in web design/authoring. Bingo. I use Dreamweaver...
