What´s the model of your switches?
There are some models unmanaged.
If you know your model is managed, try to reset the passwords.
Search this forum for how to reset the passwords.
Search www.3com.com for the manuals of your equipment.
Can´t you access your switches via browser?
There are ways to reset the passwords if it´s the problem.
I´ve read some solutions for it at this forum.
What do you mean with "they are out of a system" ?
