Thank you for the replies. Had tried the boot with the generic kernel, but it did not help. I had to shutdown and move the new adapter card swapping it with the adapter for the external disk, then boot with the generic kernel and run the doconfig and re-boot. [thumbsup2]

I need to know what command(s) to use to read packed data within Win98. I have an Access database where the data files are packed and I'm having difficulties with it. I feel I need to read some of those packed files to detect where the problem might be. Any help is appreciated.
