There is one rule: never print something from an image editing program. Use an office program or a graphic one like Coreldraw. It's printing faster and you can place the image exactly.
1. create the smallest unit of the line you want to use, for example 2 or 3 x 1 pixel
2. mark it
3. save it as a new sample
4. create a rectangular mask of the size you finally need, for example 1000 x 1 pixel
5. fill the mask with the sampled image
