you can switch of the attachment checking in OL 2k sr1 from options, security, attachment security - this should allow backup exec to send the mail, although it would also let anything that could get into your account's inbox send attachments (viruses etc.)
just fyi - it's not possible to use...
have you recreated the mailbox with the same name? BE needs a target to restore to, so if you haven't got a mailbox with exactly the same name, it won't restore to it.
You can check in your restore selections what BE thinks the name of the mailbox is - create the mailbox with this name (any...
You will never get 8GB on the tape - 8 gig is a stated theoretical maximum under perfect compression ie you might be able to get an 8GB .txt file which consisted only of "1111111" etc on the tape, but not much else.
And, as bjverzal said, any files that are compressed already (jpgs...
Quick, and hopefully simple question:
Does the boot.ini recognise the EISA partition, ie, I have two partitions, c: and d:, as well as the EISA partition on the hard disk of a server which has recently died. I restored it, but now can't boot the thing (inaccessible boot device). I also didn't...
could be worth checking that SQL installed the MDAC correctly/you have the correct MDAC level. If I remember rightly, SQL 2000 needs MDAC 2.6 to run, and should install it. Download the component checker from http://www.microsoft.com/data/download.htm and see what you have.
Not sure if this...
Franz: Open File Option a prerequisite for Intelligent disaster recovery? Not one I've seen before, although it's probably a good idea to make sure you have all your files. It is needed for the "intelligent image option" though - but I've never installed it for anyone who wanted to use...
The databases won't get backed up if your SQL and Exchange services are running, 'cos they'll be being used - to back them up you either need to a)set up batch files for your full system job to shut down SQL and Exchange before it runs and start them once it's finished, or b) use the agents.
1. stop the Backup exec services
2. go to c:\program files\veritas\backup exec\nt\catalogs and rename the file betopcat.idx to betopcat.old
3. restart the backup exec services, and your restore selections should be there.
Does anyone know anything about this? There seems to be a problem with backing this filegroup in SQL 2000. I've been trying to do it with Backup Exec and with the SQL backup thing, and I can't get it to work.
Veritas say it's a Microsoft problem and that MS know that it's there - but there's...
There's an article on the Veritas knowledge base that lets you calculate how big a static file size you need to configure - http://seer.support.veritas.com/docs/234668.htm
Also - look out, if you have the static volume on the same drive as you're trying to back up, it won't increment past its...
Can't help you on the trustees thing, but it's not possible to back up the licences for 5.1 (and I think with 4.something-or-other as well, but I'm not certain). No matter how many privileges you have, it can't be done - Novell have done something to them. It just means that after the restore...
Hi there - just in case you're still having this problem, IDR will not automatically do the partitions for you - you get the chance to set up the partitions twice during the idr process, and you need to set them up to either the same size as they were before or larger.
If you're only setting up...
